About the HONG KONG INTERNATIONAL COACHING COMMUNITY

The Hong Kong International Coaching Community (HKICC) is a registered society in Hong Kong for professional coaches, those who use coaching as part of their job, or anyone who is interested in learning about coaching.

Our Mission
"The Hong Kong International Coaching Community assists people to become effective professional coaches, who inspire and empower others to achieve personal and organisational change. With global and local affiliations we offer a pool of resources to foster professional development, mutual support, sharing of knowledge and expertise within a culture of continuous learning."

History
The HKICC has it’s roots in the first Hong Kong-based graduating class of Coach U, who in spring 2001 began meeting in fellow coaches’ homes to share their progress, inspire each other and to collaborate on promoting the benefits of coaching to the Hong Kong public. Since September 2001, an expanding group of coaches have met once a month to further their learning and develop the community. The HKICC incorporated in March 2006 from the HKCC, which was officially registered in December 2002.

Membership and Sponsors
The HKICC has approximately 80 Members and there are over 500 people on our free mailing list. We are grateful for the sponsorship of DD Centre, Active Communication, Professional Training & Strategy Ltd. and Management Development Centre of Hong Kong.

Activities
The HKICC hosts evening professional development meetings on the fourth Wednesday of almost every month. These meetings are designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of practicing coaches through guest speakers, interactive discussions and case studies.

The HKICC also hosts occasional public events to promote greater public awareness of coaching and its benefits. In particular, Speed Coaching is a popular HKICC event, held several times per year.

HKICC's Definition of Coaching
